Are random chats anonymous?

On Talzy you start as a guest with a made-up nickname. The stranger does not get your email or real name. That is not the same as being untraceable.

What the other person sees

A guest nick, whatever you type or show on camera, and the country we use for matching. They do not get a profile, a follower list, or a phone number from us.

What still exists

Your browser stores a guest id so Block can work. The connection uses WebRTC, which can expose an IP to the other peer — the usual cost of a live call. We may see a country code from the request to put you in the same-country queue. Reports keep a short safety record so mods can act. Details live in the Privacy Policy.

What you should never type

Full name, school, workplace, address, socials, money apps, verification codes. If someone asks for those, leave. Anonymity dies the moment you hand it over.

No account required

Talzy does not make you sign up to start. Guest mode is the default. That is the honest version of “anonymous chat”: fewer accounts, not a magic cloak.
