Can someone record a video chat without you knowing?

Yes. Another phone pointed at a monitor, a screenshot key, or screen-recording software does not need our permission.

What Talzy records

We do not continuously record your video for a public archive. If you report someone, we keep limited operational notes so a person can review the report — not a highlight reel of every call. See Privacy.

What you cannot control

The other guest can capture their own screen. There is no honest product that can stop that and still let video through. Anyone who says “this call cannot be saved” is selling comfort, not a fact.

How to stay safer

• Do not get undressed. Ever. 18+ still means keep clothes on.
• Do not show your house, workplace, or school.
• Do not follow anyone off-site because they asked.
• Leave the moment someone films you or asks you to pose.

Text and voice exist so video is optional. If the room is not yours alone, do not start video.
